March 30, 1947 - March 12, 2019
A celebration of life service for William Paul Lang, 71, of Fairmont, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Tommy Donaldson officiating. Graveside service for family and friends will be at Hackberry Cemetery, near Waukomis, at 12:30 pm.
Bill was born March 30, 1947, in Enid, to Art and Edna (Krippes) Lang. He passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at his home in Fairmont.
Bill graduated from Pioneer High School in 1965. He attended Oklahoma State University receiving a degree in Agricultural Economics and a lifelong love for his Pokes. After college, he returned to the family farm near Fairmont where he spent the rest of his life farming. On May 25, 2006 he married Rita Brittain at Lake Carl Blackwell.
Bill enjoyed his grandchildren, farming, fishing, politics, Oklahoma State University sports, and sitting out back watching the sunset on the homeplace. He never met a stranger. Bill loved visiting with people and he always had a smile on his face.
Bill is survived by his wife Rita, his children, Todd Lang (Joanne) of Tulsa, Brent Lang (Laura) of Enid, Mandy Bartels (Clay) of Montgomery, Alabama, and Vanessa Johnson (Angie) of Owasso, 14 grandchildren, and a sister Patty Blaser. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Joe Lang.
