Services Thursday for Fred BAKER
Fred Baker 65, 430 North Eisenhower died Tuesday afternoon after a heart attack .A native of Delta, PA he came to Enid in 1919 where he worked for a time in a drug store. He later worked in Tulsa and Washington D C, returning to Enid after serving in WW I. He was a salesman for Republic National Insurance Co. of Dallas for 23 years. For the past several years he has been associated with the Sanford and Stunkle Drug Store as a licensed pharmacist until ill heath forced his retirement in Oct. 1965.Baker was an avid sportsman and spent much of his leasure time hunting and fishing.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Brown Funeral Home with Dr. Horace Casey officiating. Burial will be in the Hackberry Cemetery.Survivers include his wife Floye of the home; three brothers, Robert of Enid; Bill of Easton, PA , and Harry of Delta PA; five sisters, Virginia Newcomb, of Enid, Mrs. E.C. Snyder of Silver Springs, MD , Mrs. Elmer Woods of San Diego, CA , Miss Ellen Baker of Easton. PA, and Mrs. Katherine Watkins of Delta, PA.
The family requests those who wish, can contribute to the Hackberry Cemetery in Bakers name.
