Delia Kathleen "Kathy" (Roberts) Shore, age 80, of Lampasas, TX, passed away on October 18, 2018, after an extended illness.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on October 27th, 2018, at the Marshall Oklahoma Alumni Building (formerly the Christian Church). Burial will follow at Marshall IOOF North Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
Kathy was born in Lucien, OK, on February 8, 1938. She graduated from Marshall High School and received a Bachelor of Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK, and a Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK.
Kathy was married to Samuel Everett Shore on August 1, 1958; they were married for 60 years.
Kathy worked as an educator for over 45 years. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and was a voracious reader and a prolific writer. She was always active in her church.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Samuel Everett Shore of Lampasas, TX; children and their spouses, Joyce Shore of Oklahoma City, OK, James Shore of Los Angeles, CA, Sam (Corey) Shore of Utah, Troy and Mary Shore of Leander, TX, Renee and Jacob Knorpp of Joplin, MO; her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bob Beagley of Alva OK; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Dean and Mary Katherine (Lutes) Roberts; daughter, Cara Jean (Shore) Todd; and granddaughter, Nichole Hiddleston.
