The funeral for Oliver Francis Rudd, 79, of Marshall, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Marshall. The Rev. Dan Thimell will officiate. Burial will be in North Marshall Lions Cemetery. Arrangements are by Abernathy-Aaron Funeral Home, Crescent.

He was born June 20, 1927, in Marshall to Ralph and Altha Reagan Rudd and died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, in Enid.

He married Doris Andrews April 26, 1947, in Enid. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Marshall Lions Club and American Legion Post 200.

Surviving are his wife, Doris of the home; one daughter, Beverly Payne of Crescent; one son, Oliver “Bud” Rudd Jr. of Parrington, Texas; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.
