Dorothy Pearl MYERS

North I O O F Cemetery


ENID — Graveside service for Dorothy Pearl Myers , 85, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, in Marshall Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born June 29, 1926, to James Ezra and Ethel Marie (White) Roberts in Douglas, Okla., and died Thursday, March 1, 2012, in Enid.

Dorothy attended school at Covington.

She married John C. Gay in February 1945 in Bakersfield, Calif. She later married Donald Myers Nov. 11, 1961, in Alva.

Dorothy worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a housekeeper. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children. Susann Branstetter of Cushing, Cynthia Baker of Enid, Deborah Tomlinson of Alva, Darla Curran of Tulsa, and John Charles Gay of Cushing; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Maxine Elliott of Hooker, Okla.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, John C. Gay and Donald Myers ; son, Darrell; brother, Roy Dean; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
