Mrs. Ralph (Ida) Arrington, 81, died early Tuesday in her home in Drummond. Her funeral will be at 2 PM Friday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry J. King officiating. She will be buried in the North I00F Cemetery at Marshall beside her first husband, Edwin F. Debow.
Mrs. Arrington was born February 13, 1894, in Inman, Kansas, and came with her parents to the Drummond area in 1903. She moved to Enid in 1920 where she was employed in the dressmaking business, then later worked in San Antonio and Amarillo, Texas.
She and Ralph Arrington were married August 22, 1942, in Garnett, Kansas, and farmed in the Richmond, Kansas, area for 23 years before retiring in 1965 when they returned to Drummond.
Mrs. Arrington was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and the Men's and Ladies' Bible Class at Drummond.
Four brothers and three sisters predeceased her. Surviving in addition to her husband Ralph are four step – daughters, Mrs. Alline McDaniel of Beaver, Mrs. Thelma McClurg, Rowland Heights, California, Mrs. Ralphine Leonard, Fairview and Mrs. Delories MacLaren, Rowland Heights; a step son, Bud Arrington of Enid; three brothers, John Henneke of Drummond, Arthur Hemmeke, Lahoma and Franklin Henneke, Hennessey; three sisters, Mrs. Caroline Galsshagel of West Chicago, Illinois, and Mrs. Elma Fulton, Enid and Mrs. Elmyra Brannan, Neenah, Wisconsin.
