Lula O. Cooper, 78, Grants Pass, Oregon, formerly of Enid, died Tuesday morning in a Fullerton, California, hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday in the Marshall United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Haines officiating. Burial will be in the North I00F Cemetery at Marshall under direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
The body arrived in Enid late Friday.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Oklahoma and married James Cooper December 15, 1917, at Guthrie. The couple established a home 2 miles east of Marshall, later moving to Enid for a short time before going to Wichita, Kansas. They moved to California some 30 years ago, living there and in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Ruby) Thompson and Mrs. Donald (Aline) Helm, both of Grants Pass, Oregon; one son, Melvin L. Cooper, Fullerton, California; several grandchildren and great – grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Reynolds, Fort Worth, Texas; and one brother, Art Carter, Perry.
