Charles Franklin Cassiday
December 4, 1925 - April 13, 2010
Charles Cassiday, 84, passed away April 13, 2010. He was born December 4, 1925, in Marshall, Oklahoma. He was the beloved son of Rosina Grassman Cassiday and Charles Edward Cassiday. He served on the Crescent school board and was active in the Masons, Eastern Star and IOOF. He also served as president of the Lion’s Club, as did his son, Chris. He worked for over 50 years in the oil fields until shortly before his death. His life began and ended on the farm. He loved raising cattle and some of his fondest memories were of his horses. He was a hard-working man who loved his family dearly. He was always willing to help anyone in need and had many, many friends as a result. He will be remembered fondly and greatly missed.
He is survived in death by his wife of 66 years, Eunice; his daughter Nita Henson and husband Randy; his daughter-in-law, Cynthia Cassiday; seven grandchildren – Kim Rouse, Jimmy Rouse and wife Sherrie, Melissa Lewis and husband Zachary, Matthew Cassiday and wife Justine, Nathan Cassiday and wife Misty, Rebeckah Roberts and husband Charles and Hannah Cassiday; seven great-grandchildren – Taylor Rouse, Keilah Lewis, Abigail Lewis, Ian Lewis, Jordyn Cassiday, Landon Cassiday, Wyatt Cassiday, and two on the way Paisley Roberts and Ryland Cassiday; one sister Lavone Phelan and husband Harold and a host of other family.
Charles is preceded in death by his son Chris Cassiday, his parents, one brother and five sisters.
There is no funeral service scheduled at this time but there will be a memorial service this summer. Eunice has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Frontier Country Museum.

Eunice Marie Cassiday
April 19, 1927 - June 15, 2011
Eunice Marie Clark Cassiday went to paradise to be with her beloved husband Charles and son Chris on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Eunice was born April 19, 1927 in Wellington, Kansas to Abe and Edith (Beeby) Clark. She spent her childhood in Covington, OK, moving to Marshall, OK for high school. She married Charles Franklin Cassiday, August 6, 1944 then graduated from Marshall High School in May of 1945. She moved with her husband, daughter and son to Crescent, OK in July of 1959. She and Charles spent the next 52 years raising their family on the farm just north of Crescent. Her family, faith and community were the center of her life. She was a lifetime homemaker, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a good and faithful friend to many. As long as she was able, she spent many hours volunteering at Meals-on-Wheels, Crescent Nursing home, Crescent School Cafeteria, Frontier Museum and many other groups.
She is survived by her daughter Nita Henson and husband Randy; seven grandchildren – Kim Rouse, Jimmy Rouse and wife Sherrie, Melissa Lewis and husband Zachary, Matthew Cassiday and wife Justine, Nathan Cassiday and wife Misty, Rebekah Roberts and husband Charles and Hannah Cassiday; ten great-grandchildren Taylor Rouse, Keilah, Abigail and Ian Lewis, Jordyn, Landon and soon to be born Camden Cassiday, Wyatt and Ryland Cassiday and Paisley Roberts.
Eunice is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her son Chris Clark Cassiday, and her parents.
A Memorial Service is planned for August 6, 2011 to celebrate the lives of both Eunice and Charles. Eunice’s wish is that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Crescent Pool Fund c/o Farmers and Merchants Bank. Arrangements by Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home Crescent, OK.
