MRS ABERCROMBIE, SISTER OF MRS . JOE SCHEULEN , DIED THURSDAY AT GUTHRIE
Funeral services were conducted in Marshall last Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Almeda Abercrombie, 22 , of Guthrie, a sister of Mrs. Joe Scheulen, of Hennessey and daughter of Mrs. Lula Payne, former owner of the Marshall Tribune.
Mrs. Abercrombie died three hours after being admitted to the Cimarron Valley Wesley Hospital at Guthrie, last Thursday afternoon. Her baby son survived her only a few hours.
The deceased was well known, in Northwestern Logan County and Marshall, where she graduated from high school and her sudden death brought grief to many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Abercrombie, three-year-old daughter, Arvith Lea, and three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Joe Scheulen, of Hennessey; Mrs. H. G. Cummins, of Enid; Mrs. Glen Farquherson, of Guthrie; Floyd Payne , of Fairview, and R.E. Payne of Denver, Colo.
Funeral services were held in the Marshall school auditorium with Rev. Martin, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Burial was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery beside a small deceased daughter whose death occurred last March. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scheulen, of Hennessey, were among those in attendance.
