The funeral for Frances Skidmore, 92, of Tulsa, will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at Stanley's Funeral Service Chapel, Tulsa. The Rev. Ralph DeBusk will officiate. Burial will be 3 p.m. in Garber Cemetery, Garber. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home, Garber.
She was born April 3, 1916, in Minco to Amos El-wood and Mary Jewel Beldsoe Peavler and died Thurs-day, May 8, 2008, at Claremore Regional Hospital, Claremore. She graduated from Garber High School. She married Robert Clifton Skidmore Nov. 27, 1940, in Enid. They moved around the United States, moving to Tulsa in 1967 from Buena Park, Calif. He died March 20, 1973. She worked 28 years at Street's Department Store.
Surviving are one son, James Clifton Skidmore of Crown Point, Ind.; three daughters, Roberta Jane Jackson of Broken Arrow, Barbara Jean Sundin of Claremore and Mary Ann Dannette Patrick of Tulsa; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by one son and one great-grandson.
