Edith PRALLE
Garber Cemetery
Funeral services for Edith Birdsall Pralle, age 93, were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29, 2000 at the Garber Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Joe Myers officiating. Burial followed in Garber Cemetery under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, Enid, Oklahoma.
Edith was born in Slapout, Beaver County, Oklahoma on September 16, 1906 to Charles N. and Mary Adalade Birdsall. She died July 25, 2000. She had three brothers: Frank, William and Bernard and three sisters: Grace, Maude, and Kathleen. She graduated from high school in Garber, Oklahoma. Edith was Vice President and Director of the Bank of Garber, Garber, Oklahoma. She was the recipient of a plaque from the Oklahoma Bankers Association in recognition of 50 years of service in banking. In 1942, Edith was married to Walter E. Pralle who preceded her in death.
Edith was a kind,considerate and generous person with many friends. Knitting afghans was her favorite hobby. She was a great sports fan, attending O.U. Football games in Norman and watching professional football and baseball on television.
She is survived by stepchildren: Adelle Pralle Clause and husband Dean of Muskogee, Waldemar Pralle and wife Glory of Oklahoma City,and Edgar Pralle and wife Dorothy of Garber, grandchildren: Jeanne Clouse Yaudes, Walter E. Pralle, II, Richard Pralle, Steven Pralle and Susan Watson; great grandchildren: Kristin Aivaz, Robin Babcock, Lauren & Natalie Pralle and Landon, Elizabethand Allison Watson. Edith is survived by her sister Kathleen Birdsall Bogle and husband Robert of Oklahoma City and sons Charles and wife Dorothy, Gary and wife Donna and Ronald and wife Kathleen, together with many nieces and nephews.
Memorials were made through the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Garber.
