Celebration of Life for Norma J. Poulter will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at First Baptist Church, Garber, Okla., with Tom LeGrand officiating. Burial will be at Garber Cemetery with arrangements by Dugger Funeral Home, Garber. Visitation with family will be 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Dugger Funeral Home, Garber.
She was the daughter of Fred Barton and Dora Parks and born in Oil Hill, Kan., on April 30, 1931.
She married Allen Poulter Jr. on Oct. 28, 1948, in Great Bend, Kan. They had 66 glorious years together.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and active as Sunday school teacher and director of the kitchen activities.
She worked at Moody’s for nine years and retired from Garber School as custodian in 1995. She loved being around people and children.
Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. She loved attending their basketball games and voiced her opinion to the refs.
She bowled several years and had many trophies for her accomplishments.
Survivors include her husband, Allen of Greenbrier Nursing Home in Enid; daughters, Carol Trekell of Garber, Nancy Cunningham of Enid, Tricia and husband Steve of Garber and Jackie Roe of Garber; brother, Rodney Barton and wife Vera of Long Beach, Calif.; sister-in-law, Joanne Barton of Harp, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Valeta; four brothers, Don, Jack, Jerry and George Barton; granddaughter, Stephanie Hunt; grandson, Jeremy Hunt; and two sons-in-law, Bobby Cunningham and Terry Trekell.

Funeral service for Allen Poulter Jr., 86, of Garber, Okla., is 10 a.m. today, Feb. 18, 2015, at First Baptist Church, Garber, with the Rev. Tom LeGrand officiating. Burial will follow at Garber Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Allen was born to Allen and Manda (Barnes) Poulter on Feb. 17, 1928, in Jennings, Okla., and passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, in Enid, Okla.
Allen served in the U.S. Army.
He married Norma Barton on Oct. 28, 1948, in Great Bend, Kan. They made their home in Russell, Kan., before moving to Garber in 1965. He worked in the oil field, retiring from Texas American.
Allen enjoyed bowling, playing dominoes and games. He loved going to the lake so he could eat at the Mexican restaurant. Most of all, he loved his garden and shared with everyone.
He is survived by four children, Nancy Cunningham of Enid, Carol Trekell, Tricia Muns, and Jackie Roe, all of Garber; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jerry Poulter. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; sisters, Genieve, Marcine, Glennis, Margaret and Dorthy; brothers, Richard and David Joe; granddaughter, Stephanie Hunt; grandson, Jeremy Hunt; and two sons-in-law, Bobby Cunningham and Terry Trekell.
Memorials may be made to Garber First Baptist Church.
