Harold Arthur Pirkl

April 24, 1932 - October 8, 2021

Celebration of Life Service for Harold "Honey" Pirkl, 89, of Garber, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Garber Christian Church, with Pastor Ronn Drage officiating. Burial will follow in Garber Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Harold was born April 24, 1932, in Lahoma, to Arthur W. and Clara (Struben) Pirkl and passed away on October 8, 2021, in Enid, OK.

Harold was the Valedictorian of his high school graduating class of Lahoma, OK. He loved to coon hunt when he was younger. Harold had a wonderful work ethic. His occupations included farming and butchering. He worked for Good as Gold at Johnston Ranch.

On July 19, 1953, Harold married Goldie L. Sebranek in the Garber Christian Church. He was a member of Garber Christian Church and was very involved throughout the church. He was an Elder, Sunday school teacher, and he sang in the choir. He was named "Rotary Farmer of the Year" in 2000. Harold enjoyed dancing and loved to farm. He loved spending time with family and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by both his parents; sister, Laverna Kuhnemund; one grandson, Ross Bonnett; and one great-grandson, Caleb Niehus.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie; children, Denie Niehus (Steve), Cheri Bonnett (David), and Kim Salmon (Shawn); grandchildren, Chad Niehus (Jennifer), Bradley Niehus (Becky), Rachelle Bentley (Justin), Morgan Birdwell (Kyle), and Drew Salmon; great-grandchildren, Brock Niehus, McKenzie Niehus, Kate Bentley, Jolie Bentley, Hadley Niehus, Drake Niehus, and Chesney Niehus; and sister, Ramona Ehlers.

Memorial may be made through the funeral home to Garber Christian Church. Condolence online at www.andersonburris.com.
