Anthony “Tony” Negast, 59, of Garber, Okla., was born May 2, 1956, in Johnstown, Pa., the son of Frank Anthony and Patricia (Myers) Negast. Tony passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Oklahoma City.

He attended and graduated from UCLA, where he played football at the collegiate level and Mark Harmon was his quarterback during this time.

Tony married his sweetheart and best friend, Kerri Michell Taylor on Oct. 21, 2008, in Enid, Okla.

Tony owned and operated Legacy Insurance in Garber. He enjoyed flying, golfing, gardening and watching football, but most of all, Tony loved spending time with his family. He was proud to serve as a fireman, with the Olathe, Kan., Fire Department, retiring as captain.

Visitation for Tony will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Dugger Funeral Home, 401 Arapaho, Garber. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at First Baptist Church in Garber. The Rev. Tom Legrand will officiate. Interment will be at Garber Cemetery. Service has been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, Elk City, Okla.

He is survived by his wife, Kerri Negast of Garber; daughters, Chezney Amesbury and husband Alec of Garber, and Breanna Devon of Enid; son, Hunter Hoskins of Garber; two grandchildren, Dante Christian-Jean Amesbury of Garber, and Christine Ray Calloway of Enid; brother, Mark Negast and wife Kathy of Chino Hills, Calif.; sister, Gina Schilling and husband Don of Anaheim, Calif.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Patricia Negast.

Memorials can be made to the Garber Fire Department in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, 600 W. Country Club Blvd., Elk City, OK 73644.
