Garber – Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday for Miss Rose Horchheimer who was librarian and records clerk at Enid General Hospital for 29 1/2 years.
She died late Friday at a Garber nursing home. The funeral will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Garber with the Rev. Joseph Wong officiating. Burial will be in the Garber Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home.
Miss Horchheimer moved to Oklahoma with her family in 1898 and settled on a farm southwest of Garber. She taught school for several years before taking the job at Enid General.
She was a life – long member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and was organist at the church for 60 years. She also taught a Sunday school class for 25 years before ill health forced her retirement one year ago.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. R. (Amelia) Bradley, Madison, Kansas, and Mrs. August (Elsie) Simmering, of Garber; two nieces and four nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church Extension fund or to the Oklahoma Medical Research cancer fund.
