William F. "Bill" EDMONDSTON January 1974 Submitted by: Lois Burdick
Funeral services for William F. Edmondston, 70, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Fossett Funeral Home chapel with readers Ralph Daniels and John F. Everett.
Edmondston was born April 1, 1903 in Durant and attended schools there. While in college he began working in theaters as a projector operator. In 1932 he managed a theater in Choutau and in 1941 he and his mother and sister purchased the Blue Moon Theater in Garber, They operated the Blue Moon until 1945 when they moved to Broken Arrow. In Broken Arrow he operated a variety Store.
In 1950 they purchased a theater in Covington. After they moved to Enid in 1958 he worked for the Esquire and Twins Theaters until illness forced his retirement.
He was a member of the Church of Christ Scientist and the Masonic Lodge No. 80 of Enid and was also a 32 Degree Mason at Guthrie.
Interment will be in the Garber Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home of Garber.
