Lillian "Belle" Dennis died Friday at a Stillwater hospital. She was 92.
Dennis was born Oct. 26, 1909, in Gage, the daughter of Curtis L. and Keeda E. (Thorp) Coe. She married James Flynn Dennis on June 21, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee.
The Dennises moved to Shawnee in 1952. While a resident here, she was employed at Green's, a retail clothing store, as a sales associate until her retirement after 20 years of service. She moved to Stillwater in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; a brother, Rodney Thorp Coe, and a sister, Halle B. Coe Mick.
She is survived by a daughter, Markeeda Sue Alaqqad of Houston, Texas; a sister, Esther Skally, San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael Moydell, Stillwater, Brock King, Katy, Texas, and Cory King and wife Suzi of Katy, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Leslie King, Katy, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today at Garber Cemetery in Garber, Okla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
