Funeral services for Macy L. Alvey, 43, 1222 N. 12th, will be at 2 PM Monday in the First United Methodist Church at Garber with the Rev. Ray Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Garber Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home of Garber.
Alvey was born October 16, 1938, in Pawnee, Illinois, the son of John and Maggie Alvey. He grew up in Illinois and came to Enid 11 years ago. He was a truck driver by trade.
Alvey and Vicki Tanner were married February 4, 1978, in Enid. He died Thursday evening in an Enid hospital.
Alvey is survived by his wife Vicki and two children, Jody and Charlene, all of the home; his mother, Maggie Alvey, Taylorville, Illinois; five brothers, John Alvey and Charles Alvey, both of Taylorville, Ben Alvey and Roy Alvey, both of Enid, and Robert Alvey of Tampa, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Martha Long of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
