"Mama" June White was loving and selfless. She was born June 26, 1930, to Clarence and Mildred (Lake) Gosney in Enid, and passed away April 16, 2018. She was a greatly loved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, co-worker and friend. June worked in retail sales at JC Penney's for over 25 years. June loved the home that her husband, Ohmer, built for the family next to her parents on Moore St. in 1959. She raised her four children to love the outdoors and appreciate the beauty of nature by taking their family vacations around the country to many national parks and beautiful spaces. In later years, June and Ohmer continued discovering the country in their travel trailer. June was a gentle soul and a loving light to her family and those she has left behind. Her legacy of love will continue on through her beloved family.
June's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Golden Oaks Nursing Home. Also to the special care of Hospice Circle of Love's staff and volunteers.
June is survived by children, Bruce White and wife, Debbie of Enid; Steve White and wife, Peggy of Siloam Springs, OK; Linda White of Ramsey, MN; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ohmer White; son, David White; three brothers and two sisters.
