Harold Glenn (Hal) Wells, 74, of Del City, formerly of Enid, died Saturday June 24, 2006 at his home after a prolonged illness. Graveside services will be at the Enid Cemetery at 11 AM, Tuesday June 27, 2006. Visitation will be Tuesday, at the Ladusau - Evans Funeral Home prior to interment.

Hal was born June 29, 1931 to Glenn and Florena (Hoffman) Wells in Enid. He graduated from Enid High in 1949 and received degrees from both OSU and OU.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Yvonne (Chodrick) of the home; daughter, Mimi Tamage and husband Terry, and granddaughter Taylor Tamage, all of OKC; step-granddaughter, Erin Clovis and step-great granddaughter, Althea Clovis, of W. VA; brothers, Conrad and wife Evelyne of Enid, Richard and wife Linda of OKC; sister, Glenda Ream of Verdigris; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Hal retired in 1997, after 40 years of US gov't service, from DOD-USAF as a system engineer and procurement consultant to the 38EIG Communications and Electronic Systems Branch of Tinker AFB, OKC. Throughout his career, he was involved with the development and implementation of hundreds of engineering projects, his most satisfying project being AFSAT Com. Mr. Wells was a registered professional engineer with National and Oklahoma registration since 1964. He was a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, Oklahoma Engineering Society, Engineering Club of OKC, National Society of Professional Engineers, OKC Computer Club, and a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a Korean War Veteran having served in Tauge, Korea in 1955 as a control tower air traffic and radar landing controller. He enjoyed fishing, reading, Tai Chi Chaun, and collecting walking sticks.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
