Ora C. Utsler, 72, 1109 S. Lincoln, died in a local hospital Wednesday following a period of ill health.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Wade officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.
Born August 14, 1900, southeast of Enid, he has lived in Enid all his life. He and Vernis Carter were married November 9, 1920. He has been an Enid merchant for 40 years, and owned and operated, with his son, the Utsler and Son Feed and Seed Store.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 501 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vernis, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Frances (Betty) Harmon, Enid; one son, Squire Utsler, Route 3; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Pat Carney and Mrs. Ida Nelson, both of Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Joey Harmon.

Vernis V. Utsler, 84, died Tuesday at a local nursing home. Services will be at 10 AM Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. C. Fred Williams officiating. Burial will be at Enid Cemetery, directed by Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.
She was born October 22, 1902, in Lovell to Cephas and Betty Carter. On November 9, 1920, she married Ora C. Utsler. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 61 years and had served as a teacher of the T. E. L. Class and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union. She also was a member of Neal Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Past Matron's Club.
Survivors include a son, Squire W. Utsler, Drummond; a daughter, Mrs. Frances (Betty) Harmon, Enid; four grandchildren; six great – grandchildren; and four sisters, Helen Karpe, Enid; Nora Davis and Zula Litson, both of Midwest City and Frieda Mudgett, Jacksonville, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson.
Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Offering of the Women's Missionary Union at First Baptist Church through the church or the funeral home.
