ENID — Funeral service for Sharron J. Turner, 59, will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Central Assembly of God Church with Rev. Kevin Ward officiating. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson - Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Sharron was born to John Henry and Doris Isabell (McCormac) Turner on Aug. 4, 1951, in Kilgore, Texas, and died Saturday, June 25, 2011, in Enid.
Sharron attended school in Texas before moving to Oklahoma. She graduated cosmetology school with her sister. After moving to Enid she worked at Kenwood Manor and Living Center as a hairdresser, and then activities director.
Sharron was an active member at Central Assembly of God Church, where she worked in the nursery and was known as "Candy Lady." She loved the children she worked with. Sharron enjoyed crafts and playing cards and dominos with family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, John Lee Turner and family of Garber; nieces, Mary Hull of Enid, Lora Loveland of Arkansas, Jennifer Olsen of Garber, Sherrie Turner of Texas, and all their families; nephews, John Turner of Lahoma and Dale Turner of Texas, and their families; and her church family at Central Assembly.
Sharron was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Doris Joan Hull; and brothers, Ronnie and Jerry Turner.
Memorials may be made to Central Assembly of God Children's Ministry or Living Center Splenda Project.
