The funeral for Esther M. Towell, 93, 401 S. 20th, will be at 11 AM Friday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Frisbee officiating. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Esther M. Murphy was born May 23, 1896, in Marshall and died late Monday at South Park Care Center, Oklahoma. She lived in Marshall until she went to college in Edmond. On August 16, 1922, she married W. R. "Ray" Towell. He died in 1958. She had moved to Enid in 1924 and was a member of Davis Park Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, Navy Mothers Club and East Side Garden Club.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary Frances Abram of Bentonville, Arkansas; two sons, Bob of Oklahoma and Wendell of Torrence, California; one sister, Virgie Cassody of Covington; nine grandchildren; and 11 great – grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.
