March 14, 1938 - July 19, 2019

Funeral service for Fredric “Freddie” Tipton, 81 of Enid, will be Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Carole Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Fredric was born on March 14, 1938 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to Bud and Ida Tipton and passed away on July 19, 2019 at his home in Enid.

Freddie graduated from Garber High School in 1956. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963. In 1966, Freddie married Peggy Sanders Lee in Bakersfield, California. He worked in the oil industry. Freddie loved his kids, grandkids and pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Eddie Bob and Harold.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home; children, Jimmy Lee (Sue), Troy Lee, both of Enid, Holly Willey (Terry) of Colorado, Laurie Tipton-Vandiver (Cory) Enid; grandchildren, Zachary Anderson (Ashley), Jarred Willey (Jeanne Marie), Megan Taft (Kendell), Maggie Lee, Marshal Decker, Jacquelyn Collins (Matt), Rachael Lee, James Lee, Victoria Vandiver, Connor Vandiver, and Mary Beth Vandiver; three great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Azayliah and Rylee; sisters, Jo George of Enid, Ray Nell Celeberti (Louie) of Sandwich, Illinois; brother, Berry Tipton of Garber; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Loaves and Fishes or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
