Graveside service for Naida L. Shepherd, 82, Enid, is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2018, in the Chapel at Enid Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim and the Rev. Gail Edmison officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Naida was born to Fay and Vivian Shepherd on July 24, 1936, at Ringwood, Oklahoma, and departed this life January 1, 2019.

She graduated from Ringwood High School in 1954, and then attended Northwestern State College in Alva and Philips University in Enid.

She worked for the McKeever, Glasser, Conrad Law Firm and its successors for 57 years. She was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Her great joy was music and she sang with the Enid Symphonic Choir. She was a pianist and organist at the Ringwood United Methodist Church and at Bethany United Methodist Church where she also sang with the choir.

She loved traveling, especially with her cousin Maxine Jackson; they took many trips both in the United States and abroad.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nelda Shepherd; and cousin Maxine Jackson.

She is survived by many cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma United Methodist Circle of Care Foundation to benefit the Boy's Ranch at Gore, Oklahoma, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
