Dr. Neal F. SEMRAD Enid News and Eagle September 30, 2003
The graveside services for Dr. Neal F. Semrad, 51 year old former Enid resident will be today at 11:00 a.m. in Enid Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Kowalski will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Neal was born January 13, 1952 in Enid to Emanuel Semrad and Barbara J. Story and died at his home Sunday, September 21, 2003 in Los Angles, CA. He attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1970. He attended college at Oklahoma State University and then attended medical school at Oklahoma and Stanford University. Upon completion he practiced as an OBGYN/Oncologist at Kaiser Hospital in Los Angeles.
He had patented several surgical devices and procedures to help further the medical arts. He was involved with numerous charities in both time and funding.
Neal was a loving son who devoted his life to serving others, especially his mother. He is survived by his mother Barbara, and father Eddie, of Enid; one brother Paul Semrad, of Enid; and one sister Debbie Mallet, of Aurora, CO., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Multiple Sclerosis Division with Henninger-Allen Funeral Home acting as custodians of the fund.
