Enid Cemetery, Garfield County, Oklahoma


The graveside service for Mr. Kenneth C. Scroggins, 72, of Enid will be at 4 p.m., today, Jan. 24, 2015, at Enid Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Miller will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 23, 1942, to Carmon and Verna Hazel Scroggins in Eldorado, Texas, and passed away on Jan. 21, 2015.

He was raised in Borger, Texas. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1961. He served four years in The United States Air Force. He married Marie Ashmoore in 1970 in Borger. He worked for the Borger Fire Dept. and in construction. He and Marie travled various places in Texas for Marie’s job.

They moved to Oklahoma City, where he worked for a security force until he was medically unable. They moved to Enid, Okla., in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Marie of Enid, Okla.; son, Richard Scroggins of Texas; brothers; Ronnie and wife, Sue Scroggins of Fritch, Texas, and Jim and wife, Diane Scroggins of Borger, Texas; sisters, Joyce and husband, Larry Green of San Angelo, Texas, and Rose Seals of Andrew, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Verna and father, Carmon Scroggins; brothers, Paul and Carl Scroggins.
