Clariss A. (Midge) died Feb. 11, 1985 at her home in Yukon OK, following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 15, 1903 in Kingfisher OK, the daughter of Laura and Chester C. Ames. She was married to Norman Earl Rowley on Aug. 4, 1922 in Cheyenne OK. She attended Okla. A&M College and taught in elementary schools in Okla. Always active in civil affairs, she was a member of Nova Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Alpha Chi Omega. Served as President of the Stillwater Women's Club, on the board of directors of the Stillwater Mission. She also belonged to the Stillwater Book Club.

Her survivors are daughters, Mrs. M.B. (Joyce) Woolsey of Norman, Mrs. H.F. (Diane) Featherly of OKC; sister, Mrs. Melissa Killian of Enid OK; 4 grandsons, a great-granddaughter and great-grandson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday at the Enid Cemetery, Enid OK.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, Diabetes Education Center, Box 205, 1000 N. Lee, OKC, or the Okla. Medical Research Foundation.
