A graveside service for Robert Walter Roten, age 95, will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Enid Cemetery Chapel, with grandson Rev. Daren Roten officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be Monday evening 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Robert was born to Robert L. and Agnes (Jewett) Roten on October 26, 1917, in Enid, and passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Enid.

He graduated from Enid High School in 1935. On March 29, 1937, he married Floreine M. Myers, and they made their home in Enid. Robert became an electrician right out of high school. He worked for Clevengers Electric, and owned Bob’s Electric. In 1937, Robert went to work at Geo. E. Failing Co. He enjoyed building fine furniture.

Robert is survived by his wife Floreine of the home; three sons, Dempsey and Linda Roten of Capron, Robert and Helen Roten of Mansfield, Texas, David and Jackie Roten of Broken Arrow; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister Maxine Young and husband Elmer of Enid. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Roten and Faye Ramirez.
