Funeral service for Floreine Mae Roten, age 94, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery. Visitation with family will be Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Floreine was born to Elwood C. and Florence M. (Fager) Myers on Jan. 20, 1919, in Enid, and passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, in Enid.

Floreine’s mother passed away in childbirth, and Floreine was raised by her grandmother, Fannie L. (Crall) Myers. She graduated from Enid High School in 1936 and then attended Enid Business College.

On March 29, 1937, Floreine married Robert W. Roten, and they made their home in Enid. She was a homemaker and loved singing, playing piano and organ, and quilting, using designs her husband made.

She is survived by three sons and their wives, Dempsey and Linda Roten of Capron, Okla., Robert and Helen Roten of Mansfield, Texas, David and Jackie Roten of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maxine and husband, Elmer Young; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Floreine was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, half-sister Aleta McKee, and sister-in-law and husband, Faye and Albert “Lefty” Ramirez.
