Rites Pending For Victim Of Kremlin Crash
Jean Robertson, 26, Was War Veteran; Brother Injured
Funeral services for Jean Robertson, 26, World War II veteran who was killed late Saturday afternoon when the plane he was piloting crashed on the farm of his father near Kremlin, had not been completed Monday.
His brother, Forrest Robertson, a passenger in the plane, who suffered a serious back injury, was reported to be resting well at an Oklahoma City hospital. He is reported to have suffered a fractured vertebrae.
No cause for the crash has been given. The plane was owned by the Vacin – Hirst Flying Service north of Enid.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Robertson of Kremlin; his wife of the home; two daughters, Barbara Gale and Linda Jean; three sisters, Mrs. Gloria May Wallace of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Shirley Robertson of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Estell L. Robertson of Kremlin; three brothers, Cecil C. Robertson, Jr., of the home, Forrest of Enid, and Stanley, now in the Army; and several uncles and aunts.
Military Rites To Be Given Robertson
A military service will be held at the funeral of Jean Robertson, 26, World War II veteran who was killed late Saturday afternoon when the plane he was piloting crashed on his father's farm near Kremlin, in the Baptist Church at Pond Creek at 2 PM Friday. Rev. Elmer Gray will conduct the services.
Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.
