Funeral services for Clarence C. Riggs, 71, Odessa, Texas, will be conducted Wednesday at 10 AM in the Enid Cemetery. Rev. Elmer T. Watkins will officiate under the direction of Henninger – Allen funeral home.

He died Saturday morning there, of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Monmouth, Illinois, on June 14, 1899. He had lived in Oklahoma and Texas most of his life. He married Mabel Herrea in 1919. She preceded him in death in 1962. Mr. Riggs was employed as a mechanic. He had been a resident of both of Enid and Garber prior to moving to Odessa in 1949, where he lived until his death. In 1956 he married the former Thelma Palmer.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma, of the home; two sons, Lindle and Leo Riggs, both of Odessa; three daughters, Mrs. Leslie, (Mary Ann) Unruh, Odessa; Mrs. George (Opal) Skillman, Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Jerry (Mildred) Ciccone, Carteret, New Jersey; three brothers, Melvin Riggs, Tulsa; K. P. Riggs, Bakersfield, California, and Vernon Riggs, Leon, Kansas; several grandchildren and three great – grandchildren.
