Funeral services for Fred L. Richardson, 77, 604 E. Cambridge, have been set for 2 PM Thursday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gaylord Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. Richardson died in a local hospital Monday following a period of ill health.
He was born in St. James, Missouri, on February 21, 1891, and came to Enid in 1916 from Missouri. On October 14, 1918 he married Millie Pearl LeGrand who preceded him in death October 29, 1954. An employee of the Frisco Railroad for 55 years, he served as a Bridge and Building Inspector. He retired March 1, 1959.
Richardson was a member of the Rush Avenue Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge at Headrick.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. W. L. (Freda) Rainey, North Enid, and Mrs. Ralph (Rowena) Garrett, Wichita, Kansas; two sons, Bill, Enid and Fred, Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren and two great – granddaughters; one sister, Mrs. Maude Miller, St. James, Missouri.
