Services for Mrs. W. L. (Freda) Rainey, 85, North Enid, will be 2 PM Thursday at Enid Bible Church, with Rev. James F. Matheny and Rev. Gaylord Smith officiating. Burial will be at Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Rainey died Monday, June 2, 1986 at a Tulsa hospital. She was born March 2, 1921, in Enid to Fred and Millie Pearl Richardson. She attended area schools and graduated from Enid high school in 1939. On June 28, 1942, Freda and W. L. Rainey were married. A longtime member of the Enid Bible Church, Rainey worked 35 years as director of the Enid Bible Church Camp and Bible School. She was a member of the Berean Missionary Society and Faith, and the Hope and Charity Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her husband, W. L. Rainey, of the home; a foster daughter, Mary Stilwell, Enid; two brothers, Bill L. Richardson, Tahlequah and Fred L. Richardson, Springfield, Missouri, and a sister, Rowena Garrett, Maud.
Memorials may be made to Enid Bible Church with Brown Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
