December 02, 1948 - July 30, 2017

The funeral service for Barbara Kay (Rogers) Pool will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at North Garland Church of Christ with Gordon Jantz and Bill Springer officiating. Burial will follow in Enid cemetery under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the church.

Barbara was born December 2, 1948 to Charles Russell Rogers and Mary Jane Rogers in Buffalo Oklahoma, and left her earthly home July 30, 2017 in Enid, Oklahoma.

On December 7, 1969, Barbara married Murlyn D. Pool, and out of their union two children, Douglas and Melissa were born. Barbara was a teacher’s aide, cafeteria worker, crossing guard, and volunteer at Adams Elementary. She also was a member of the North Garland Church of Christ and taught Bible class for many years there. Later in life she enjoyed worshiping with the South 3rd Church of Christ.

She leaves behind her son, Douglas Pool; daughter, Melissa Santos-Pool with husband Ismael and grandson Josue Amaru, as well as two sisters, Joyce Rogers & Iris Crowder, and one brother, Donald Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Sandra Mahaffey, and brother, James Rogers.

Memorials may be made to OMRF (Heart) Division with Henninger~Hinson acting as custodian of the fund.
