ENID — Funeral service for Egon Ernst Planert, 80, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. today, May 27, 2011, in Enid Cemetery Mausoleum with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Egon was born April 12, 1931, in Germany to Miara and Arter Planert and died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Okla.
Egon was born and raised in Zeulenroda East Germany and moved to Heibomm West Germany due to the war. He owned and operated Bonvbal Auto Painting business until retirement.
He moved to England for 16 years before moving to Enid in 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma of Enid; son, Heinz Planert of Germany; stepdaughter, Denise Judge of Enid; granddaughter, Lisa Ashbury of Oklahoma City; and two grandsons, Mitchell and Elishia Ashbury.
