OBITUARY

The funeral for James "Jim" Parrish, 79, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jerry Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Maysville to James and Anna Dotson Parrish and died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at The Living Center.

He joined the Army in 1942, serving in the United States and in Indian. He was discharged after 3 1/2 years of service and moved to Montana to work in the copper mines. In 1950, he moved to Enid. He worded 27 years at Champlin Refinery.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy of the home; four sons, James "Jimmy," Robert "Bob" of Chandler, Marvin of Albany, Texas, and John of Gentryville, Ind.; three daughers, Ester and Georgene, both of Enid, and Kathleen of Mooreland, Ind.; two brothers, Art of Commerce City, Colo., and William "Bill" Clifton of Enid; 12 granchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
