Funeral services for Darrell Leroy O達leness, 76, Enid, will be held Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Steve Meier officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Enid Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Darrell was born on Aug. 9, 1938, in Carney, Okla., the son of Marion Leroy and Doris Iola Potter O達leness, and passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2014. He married Mary Alice Mathis in August of 1969.

Survivors include three sisters, Neva (Jim) Cook of Wellington, Kan., Barbara Bowman of Medford, and Marian (Dwaine) Smith of Haysville, Kan.; brother, Charles Deans of Oklahoma City; four children, Sharon Pierce, Jerry O達leness, Debra Anderson, and LeAndra O達leness, all of Enid; stepson, Terry Skaggs; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in passing by his parents, son, Billy O達leness, grandson, Arlon Pierce and sisters, Karen Day and Betty Gilbreth.
