Norris – Active pallbearers for the Roy Norris services Monday afternoon were Ira J. Faurote, J. J. Tathwell, Tom Burns, Roy Sears, William Musser and L. L. Lounsbury.

Honorary pallbearers were A. M. Ehly, Judge J. W. Bird, Abe Horner, Charles Dillon, Jean Batchelder, Roy Prince, L. D. Goddard, L. A. Maphet and C. A. Newkirk.

Norris, 59, Enid building contractor for the past 25 years died Saturday afternoon after a long illness. His condition had been serious for the past three months.

He had been connected with the building trade as a contractor since 1918 when he came to Enid from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was an elder in Central Christian Church for a number of years and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 80.

Services were held Monday afternoon in Central Christian Church with Rev. O. Fred Hanna, pastor of Washington Avenue Christian Church officiating. Burial was in Enid Cemetery with Henninger Funeral Home in charge. A. M. Ehly and Dave Bucher delivered an eulogy during the service.

His wife, Daisy, 823 W. Oklahoma; two children, Mildred Ellen and Roy Eugene; his mother, Mrs. Lydia M. Norris of Enid; two sisters, Mrs. A. J. Rogers of Clinton and Mrs. J. J. Jackson of Cristobal, Canal Zone; three brothers, Edward C. Norris of Enid, Robert A. Norris of Thomas and Louis B. Norris of Enid.
