Noah Mummel

Noah Mummel, 76, Route 2, died late Wednesday in a local hospital following a brief illness. His service will be at 10 AM Saturday in the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Fellemende and the Rev. Vernon Pendleton officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.

Mummel was born August 23, 1902, in Illinois. He was reared and spent his earlier years in Alva. On June 30, 1935, he married Helen LaVaun Muns in Enid. She died August 2, 1978.

Mummel had farmed in the Enid area over 30 years, and was a member of the Banner Booster Club. He was also a 20-year member of the Oil Chemical and Atomic Workers International Union.

Survivors include a sister – in – law, Mrs. Howard Mummel, of Enid; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, Helen, he was preceded in death by a brother.

Memorials may be made to the FFA at Chisholm High School with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Howard Mummel, 814 W. Pine.
