The funeral service for Robert Moore, 84, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John McLemore and Rev. Don Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery . Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home .
Robert was born May 16, 1924, in Enid, Okla., to Omah Hill and Nannie B. (Crawford) Moore and died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in Caracas, Venezuela.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1942. He received his bachelor of science degree from Youngstown College and his master's degree from Columbia University, New York City.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Immediately after graduation from Columbia University in New York City he was employed by Standard Oil Co. and moved to Caracas, Venezuela. He remained with the company until his retirement. He was then retained as a special consultant until his death. A 59-year association.
He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Anderson of Craig, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Maribel Moore and Maxine Moore, both of Enid, Okla.; his special family of Caracas: Adriana Milagros Nunez Suarez, Aura Genoveva Nunez Suarez, Jose Rafael Nunez Suarez, Carla Nunez Suarez; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James and Charles; sisters, Viola Milburn, Edna Phillips, Thelma Firestone, Mary Gilley Lewis and Mava Waggerman.
Memorials may be made to donor's charity of choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
