Funeral services for Clarabell Miller, 76, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. today, Jan. 6, 2009, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Clarabell was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of Glen and Gladys Johnson Swart and died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She moved with her family to Enid from Ames, Okla., at an early age. She attended Harrison School in Enid. Clarabell married Gale Miller Jan. 20, 1952, in Enid. Together, they owned and operated Polly and Peggy’s Café in Enid for 40 years. Clarabell then worked seven years at Autry Vo-Tech before retiring. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and loved being a part of their lives.
Clarabell is survived by her husband, Gale, of the home; daughter, Sharon and husband Eddie Gonzales of Clinton, Okla.; Larry and wife Christi Miller of Enid; grandchildren, Jamie Wilson, Tiffany Thorne, Tanner Miller and Trevor Miller; stepgrandchildren, Eddie Gonzales Jr., and Danny Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Dakota Wilson and Brittany Wilson; stepgreat-grandchildren, Deaven Gonzales; two brothers and five sisters.
Clarabell was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jerry, three brothers, one sister and three grandsons.
Memorials may be made in Clarabell’s memory to Relay for Life with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
