Services for Vaughn McCLane, 82, Route 7, will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robert Young will conduct the rites. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.
McClane died Friday, June 27, 1980.
Born March 15, 1898 in Enid, he was the son of Fred and Emma McClane. He attended Enid schools.
After being employed for 26 years with the Champlin Petroleum Company refinery, McClane retired and farmed northwest of town. He married Mary Bell Inglish in 1924 in Enid.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir that was directed by his father, who was known in Enid as a singer and operator of one of the towns first tailor shops.
McClane was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Maurita) Daiels, Enid; two sisters, Mrs. Lora Mierish Canaday and Mrs. Marvin (Gladys) Jones, both of Enid; four grandchildren, Mrs. Richard (Denise) Morris, Carla Daniels, Steven Daniels and Sandy Daniels, all of Enid.
Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
