The funeral for James "Jim" Willam McBlair, 71 year-old Enid resident will be 11AM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Ames Baptist Church. Pastors' Bryan Laramore and Garrett Langley officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. A visitation with family will be Tuesday evening from 5PM-7PM in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel. Masks are required at Funeral Home and Church.
Jim was born January 12, 1949 in Enid to Rochester and Josephine (Renfro) McBlair and died Friday, December 25, 2020 at his home in Enid. He attended local schools and graduated form Enid High School with the class of 1967. He was an officer of the Enid Police Department.
On December 23, 1981 he married Judith Peninger in Wichita, Kansas. The couple made their home in Enid where Jim worked as a corrosion control specialist at Vance Air Force Base.
He was a long-time member of the Ames Baptist Church, where he was also a deacon. He was a very handy man and loved working on everything from cars to machinery....anything to tinker with.
He is survived by his wife Judy, of the home, his son David McBlair and wife Melissa of Glenpool, his daughter Holly Pringle and husband Matt of Edmond, 6 grandchildren, a sister Linda Harris and a brother Mike McBlair and wife Nancy. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
