October 5, 1952 - June 13, 1997
The funeral for Larry "Peanut" Marshall, 44, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ladusau Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dan Wilson and Floyd Westfall officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 5, 1952 in Seminole to William and Jewell Holcomb Marshall and died Friday, June 13, 1997 at St. Mary's Hospital.
He moved to Enid in 1960 and attended Enid High School. He worked for Kaiser Oil Fields as a pumper for 15 years. He became a pit crew member of the "Go" racing team at Breckenridge in the late 70's, racing throughout the Midwest, accumulating numerous feature wins and track championships for over 20 years.
He is survived by his mother, Jewell Marshall of Breckenridge; two brothers. Carl Marshall of Hooker, Dean Marshall of Atoka; two sisters, Raylene Long of Garber and Charlene Lanwell of Bakersfield, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Cancer Division with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
