The funeral service for Marilyn Lee Lightfield, 60, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terry O’Toole officiating. Burial will follow at Enid Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born to Lonnie and Lucille (Akins) Lee on March 2, 1955, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and passed away in her husband’s arms on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at their home in Enid.
Marilyn grew up in Chickasha, where she graduated high school. On June 28, 1973, she married Carl Lightfield, and they made their home in Chickasha.
In 1987, they moved to Enid, where Carl and Marilyn were the owners and operators of Big Country & Enid Packing LLC. Marilyn’s family was extremely important to her — they were her world.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Marilyn loved to travel with her family. She was a licensed cosmetologist. Marilyn was very artistic and loved creating jewelry, quilts and ceramics.
She is survived by her husband Carl of the home; four children, Greg and Jennifer Lightfield of Colorado Springs, Chad Lightfield of Mentor, Ohio, Hollee and Philip Terry of Enid, and Ceth and Natalie Lightfield of Davis, Calif.; five grandchildren Nathaniel Lightfield, Brittany Lightfield, Owen Terry, Emalyn Terry and Luke Terry; brother Ronald Lee of Amber; and two sisters Linda Gattis of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Carolyn Stroud of Amber.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother Larry, parents and granddaughter Summer Dawn Lightfield.
Memorials may be made to OMRF, cancer division.
