The funeral services celebrating, honoring and remembering the life of Joel Scott Klein, 36, of Enid will be held 9:00 A.M. Thursday August 24, 2017 in the first United Methodist Church with Reverend Susan Southhall and Pastor Lance Lang officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born to Steve and Penny Klein January 28, 1981 in Enid, OK. and passed from this life on Friday the 18th in Enid, OK. Joel was raised and educated in Enid attending Enid Public Schools starting with Glenwood, then to Waller, and graduating from Enid High School in 2001. After high school Joel followed his brothers Jamie and Jeremy working in the drilling industry.

He leaves behind his daughter Ansley Waymon, 12 of Acworth, Georgia and a son Kashion Klein of Edmond, OK; his parents Steve and Penny Klein of Enid, OK, his 2 brothers Jamie Klein and wife Toni and their 2 children Morgan and Ryan of Thornton, CO, Jeremy Klein and wife Erin and their 3 children Tayvian, Tate and Gentry of Purcell, OK., Grandfather Mel Patee of Arvada, CO, numerous Uncles and Aunts, and an extensive group of beloved friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dee and Isabell Klein of Kansas, Arnold Horner of Kansas, and Mary Patee of Colorado.

He enjoyed helping others and spending time with friends.

The joys of his life were his two children and his family. He also loved mechanics, chasing storms and tinkering with old cars.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Children of Joel Klein Education Fund with Brown-Cummings serving as custodians of the funds.
