Graveside services for Lynn B. Kent, 81, a former Enid resident who died late Tuesday in the Hot Springs, Arkansas, will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Enid Cemetery.
Dr. J. Clifford Shirley will officiate and interment will be in the family plot, under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home of Garber. The body will arrive by charter flight late Thursday and will lie in state in the funeral home until 12:30 PM Saturday.
Kent was born in Green City, Missouri, and moved to Enid in 1932 where he owned and operated the University Cleaners for several years. He was later district manager for the Sonotone Hearing Company in Enid and in Pueblo, Colorado, then moved to Springfield, Missouri, where he was manager of the Belltone Hearing Aid Company. After retiring to Hot Springs, he worked for Ben Wofford, establishing a Belltone dealership there.
He is survived by his wife Lucille of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Karolyn) Rice of Wichita, Kansas; a son, Buell C. Kent of Wichita; five grandchildren; 12 great – grandchildren.
