Effie Pearl Henson

Effie Pearl Henson, 82, formerly of 1109 E. Maple, died in a Friendswood, Texas, nursing home Tuesday. Her service will be Thursday at 2 PM in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. T. A. Chick officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.

Mrs. Henson was born September 29, 1895, and lived most of her life in the Enid community. The former Effie P. Priest, she married Earl Henson Sr. He died in 1947.

Mrs. Henson was a longtime member of the Bible Baptist Church. She moved to Friendswood, Texas, six months ago.

Survivors include four sons, Donald, Enid, Richard, Las Vegas, Nevada, Earl, Dickinson, Texas, and Elvin, Oklahoma City; one sister, Daisy Jenings, Arkansas City, Kansas; one brother, Leeman Priest, Compton, California; 14 grandchildren; and five great – grandchildren.
