The funeral services for Mr. Jelorok “Charlie” Helaisha, 54, of Enid, will be held in the New Beginning Church. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. today, May 17, 2015, in the Enid Cemetery. Timothy Libokmeto will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born June 2, 1960, in the Marshallese Island of Ebon to Helaisa and Maria Helaisha and passed from this life May 12, 2015, in Enid, Okla.

He attended Marshallese High School, graduating in 1984. He moved to Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming.

He moved to Enid in 1986. He worked at Advance Food for 26 years in night sanitation and then for Car-Mart for eight years as a car detailer.

He loved playing basketball and baseball.

He is survived by his beloved niece Alynn Marthin Isaian; brother, Jenai Helaisa; sister, Joseline Zeckrias.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kajje.

Memorials may be made in his name to the New Beginning Church with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
